Welcome to "Run With The Bulls - Power & Performance". This training program is designed for the long term development of your athletic qualities. This program takes on a rotating sequence based on the 3 main strength lifts (bench, squat, deads) and incorporates different variations of each lift depending on the day. The 4th training day of the week focuses on a vertical press and is more of a "bodybuilding-esque" type of day, with a focus on a total body lift, this day follows a linear periodization scheme. For the strength lifts, instead of following a tradational linear progression scheme, we are following an undulating pattern. - One week the lift will be a lighter in weight but higher in total number of sets, focusing on rate of force development. - The next week will be moderate weight & moderate in reps to allow you to focus in on the technical side of the lift. - The final week will be heavier in weight and lower in total sets & reps, allowing us to focus in on strength development. Using this, we can focus on total athlete development vs a single quality at a time.
