Elite Jump System Freshman

Develop a strong foundation for your vertical jump and multi-directional explosiveness with just your body weight. You don’t need a fancy gym or advanced training experience to become more explosive. You just need the right system to build your foundation the right way, from day one.

 

The Elite Jump System Freshman is a beginner friendly plyometric program designed to help improve vertical jump performance, and overall explosiveness. Great for youth and high school athletes, and inexperienced recreational athletes.

 

 

This program is for you if:

  • You are a beginner or intermediate athlete with no or limited experience in plyometric training
  • You want to improve your vertical jump and explosiveness
  • You’re new to plyometrics or athletic training
  • You don’t have access to a gym or only have access to dumbbells
  • You want to train safely and avoid injuries

 

Program Duration: 8 weeks

  • This vertical jump program contains 8 weeks of progressive programming of plyometrics, vertical jump technique, body weight strength, mobility, stability and core training designed to maximize vertical jump performance and injury prevention. 

 

Training Frequency: This program has 4 workouts days per week in phase 1 and 5 workout days per week in phase 2

  • 2 - 3 lower body vertical jump performance sessions (depending on which phase you are in)
  • 2 mobility + core + recovery sessions 

 

Recommended Equipment: No equipment required

  • This program can be done body weight or with minimal equipment like dumbbells, a weight vest or a stability ball. 

 

Phase 1: Foundational Plyometrics

Build and develop the basics of plyometrics such as developing the stretch shortening cycle, landing mechanics and extensive (low intensity) plyometrics. 

 

Phase 2: Reactive Plyometrics

In this phase you will continue to progress extensive (low intensity) plyometrics and  the stretch shortening cycle to improve your explosiveness.

  • Communicate and share progress with coach Kev and fellow athletes through the discussion board

 

 

 

How it works: 

This program will be delivered through the BridgeAthletic app and you will be added to my organization!  Within Bridge, you'll be able to track all your training to clearly view your progress throughout the program.
