The Inside Edge Performance Training System

The Inside Edge Performance Training System is a 15-week training program designed to develop the physical qualities that transfer directly to performance behind the boat. The system focuses on improving how the body produces and manages force, maintains alignment under load, and coordinates movement so that technical adjustments on the water are easier to execute.

 

The program is organized into five progressive phases, each building on the previous one. Early phases establish movement quality, structural strength, and positional control. As the program advances, the focus shifts toward increasing force production, coordination, and the ability to maintain strong body organization under higher loads and fatigue.

 

Throughout the system, training emphasizes the relationship between the upper body, trunk, and lower body so that force can move efficiently from the handle through the skier and into the ski. Exercises are selected to develop strength, coordination, and resilience in the patterns that support stable, connected skiing.

 

Workouts are structured to be clear and purposeful, allowing you to focus on consistent training while progressing through each phase of the program. By the end of the 15 weeks, the goal is to have built a stronger physical foundation that supports better balance, improved leverage, and more reliable position behind the boat.

I’m a performance coach and National Champion water skier focused on helping athletes train smarter off the water so they can perform better on it. Since 2009, I’ve coached more than 40,000 one-on-one training sessions, working with clients and athletes to build strength, durability, and efficient movement that actually transfers to sport — not just the gym. Competing and winning at the national level in slalom, trick, and jump taught me firsthand what skiing really demands: strong positions under load, clean force transfer through the trunk, and repeatable mechanics under fatigue. That experience shapes how I coach. My programs prioritize spinal organization, bracing, joint integrity, and power so the strength you build off-season shows up immediately behind the boat. I hold NASM CPT, CES, and PES certifications, along with EXOS XPT, and I run Move Fitness while co-creating Inside Edge Performance to help skiers build resilient bodies and longer seasons. My philosophy is simple: Train with purpose. Build strength that transfers. Ski better.
