DOMEX Strength & Fitness is dedicated to improving the optimal athletic performance and career longevity of our nation’s tactical athletes and first responders. Daniel Borowick, our founder, is a retired Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent and former New Jersey State Trooper (cumulative total of 27 + years).  Borowick had a tenure spanning the DEA’s most critical field divisions, including Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and El Paso, and a distinguished term in DEA’s Foreign Operations Division stationed in Mexico. Additionally, Borowick  is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) under the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and had previously worked as a CSCS for the United States Army in their Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program.  Furthermore, Borowick holds a Master’s of Science in Health Science and Wellness Management, has authored approximnately 24 articles for national magazines such as Tactical Training and Conditioning, Police1.com, and the American Military University, (Please see the following Domex Strength & Fitness website and link for these articles @https://domexstrengthandfitness.com/strength-and-fitness-articles/, as well as some testimonials from some of our amazing tactical and sports athletes. 

 

While with the DEA, Borowick was a Physical Task Test Administrator (PTTA), in which he played a vital role in the assessment and testing of DEA SA applicants for their potential fitness for duty.  In addition to writing exercise programs for individuals personal use, Domex Strength & Fitness has worked with the following:  DEA Special Agents (SWAT members), aspiring DEA and FBI candidates, the New Jerseey State Police and their T.E.A.M.S/SWAT operators,Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol, El Paso County, Texas Sheriff's Department Academy cadets, US Army soldiers and those preparing for Ranger School, Drill Instructor School and Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) candidates.  

 

All workouts are programmed in with a proper warmup, the particular exercise programming and a proper cool down.  All exercises include a detailed video on exactly how the exercise is to be performed with the exact sets, repetitions, intensity level, and/or heart rate zones depending on the program purchased.  Therefore, the programming is made quite easy for the end user to not only complete their workout but more importantly given the educational tools for their respective self to succeeeed in their fitness journey.

"MUSCLE ENDURANCE IS CRUCIAL TO YOUR DAILY SUCCESS"The program design included here is for the individual to work on their muscular endurance which is a key component for optimal performance and career longevity. Additionally, muscular endurance is crucial for the individual or athlete who finds themselves lifting and moving external loads or resistive forces repeated times throughout their daily jobs. Muscular endurance is the body’s ability to exert sub-maximal contractions and repetitions with a certain force or object. An example would be to conduct a bench press, squat or bicep curl for generally 12+ repetitions and more. This repetition count correlates to an intensity of less than 67 % of your One Repetition Maximum (1RM). Furthermore, the exact rest periods are programmed into this four week program which will keep you focused on building the physiological adaptations of muscular endurance. This stresses the glycolytic energy system by limiting the time your muscles energy stores are able to replenish. DOMEX's 4 Week Interval Training
Are you ready to begin your journey on interval training ? Interval training combines higher intensities of exercise coupled with short rest periods which will burn fat, add new sauce to your workout program, increase mucle definition, increase the bodies use of oxygen, work mulltiple energy systems all the while utilizing less workout time ?Interval training is a type of exercise that is associated with maximal uptake of oxygen and an increase in cardiac output. When we train harder and more intensely, we consume oxygen at maximal levels. Therefore, interval training increases our VO2 Max, lactate threshold, and overall anaerobic and aerobic metabolism. Interval training is associated with training at 70%-80% of your maximal heart rate or Zone 3. Intervals in this program are designed to last between 30 seconds and up to 2 minutes. Those that are better trained can rest for shorter periods, however, take your time and stay within your abilities but be cognizant of the work to rest ratios to get the best from this amazing workout. This ratio is prescribed in order to have your glycolytic energy system well-rested in order for your subsequent set to be performed at the same intensity as the first.
