Hi, I’m Jesse Macedo — BS Kinesiology, NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), former StrongFirst SFG and SFL, and former trainer at Equinox and EFTI.

After years coaching in high-end gyms and studying human movement, I created MoveSmart to cut through the noise. No flashy workouts or quick fixes. Just intelligent, purposeful training that builds real strength, improves mobility, and keeps you moving pain-free for the long term.

Move SmartNarrow the PathThe MoveSmart Beginner Fundamentals programIs an exercise program which is a series of exercises designed to help you get stronger, stay mobile, stay fit, stay healthy, move great and feel great.It includes several pieces of equipment such as, a slant board, a heavy kettlebell, a light kettlebell, a suspension trainer, a bench and a few dumbbells.These pieces of equipment were specifically chosen because of their ability to be moved around easily as well as their versatility of use which can give us a variety of exercises that will build a foundation of strength as well as cardiovascular fitness. They should be staples of every home gym.This program is a whole body program that primarily focuses on compound exercises, which include multiple joints but also has several supportive and accessory exercises to target certain muscles in isolation to make those big lifts stronger.Movement can be intimidating so feeling good is where we want to start. Just get comfortable around the weights, The major benefit of this program is that it can be completed in most home gyms and even outdoor spaces.The goal is to keep all exercise basic enough to complete. Simple enough to understand and challenging enough to elicit a training effect,Many of us have been banged up from sports, recreation, hobbies or even just working a long period of time at a desk or in a car.
